David J. Moynihan, CPA, is the Partner in Charge of the firm's Audit Practice Group. His experience encompasses a diverse background in audit and management consulting services. His expertise includes construction, manufacturing, dealerships, not-for-profit organizations and municipalities and he is a frequent lecturer on best practices. Mr. Moynihan is a member of New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and New York State Government Finance Officers Association (NYSGFOA). He is past chair of the NYSSCPA Peer Review Committee; vice chair of the NYSSCPA Political Action Committee; and past president of the Syracuse Chapter of NYSSCPA. He is immediate past president of New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Moynihan is active in American Institute of Certified Public Accountants serving on its Council and as a member of its Peer Review Board and chairs its Education Committee Task Force. He is actively engaged within the community, having served as treasurer of the Spanish Action League and Partners for Education and Business as well as fiscal advisor to St. Patrick’s Church. He is a past member of the Loan Committee of the Syracuse Economic Development Corporation. He has been recognized by the AICPA and awarded the Certificate of Achievement in Governmental & Non-profit Accounting and Auditing. Mr. Moynihan received the 2008 St. Patrick's Irish Heritage Award.

He is a graduate of LeMoyne College with a B.S. in accounting.
